Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a manipulative treatment that attempts to release tension in the fascia due to trauma, posture, or inflammation.

Connective tissues called fascia surround the muscles, bones, nerves, and organs of the body. Points of restriction in the fascia can place a great deal of pressure on nerves and muscles causing chronic pain.

Myofascial release uses long stretching strokes meant to balance tissue and muscle mechanics and improve joint range of motion in order to relieve pain.

Pre-natal Massage

Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy.

It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue.

The gentle, noninvasive approach of prenatal massage can ease discomfort associated with pregnancy, help the mother-to-be prepare for labor and give her nurturing emotional support.

Cupping Massage

Cupping is an ancient form of alternative treatment where suction draws the blood to the skins surface and separates the layers of tissue.

This treatment is used to help treat pain, remodel scar tissue, release fascial restrictions and release muscle adhesions. As with many forms of therapeutic massage, the sensation experienced by the patient will vary and at times may be uncomfortable. This treatment can leave marks on the skin, however they will fade and will not be tender.

The cups can stay in one place for several minutes or they can be pulled along the tissue. I will often place the cups on one area while providing hands on treatment to other areas of the body.

Relaxation Massage

The intent of this treatment is to relax you. These treatments are great for those with job/life stress, hypertension, those who have difficulty sleeping, to increase clarity for performance and more. It involves lighter pressure, and gentle rhythmic massage strokes.

Deep Tissue Massage

As the name suggests, this technique targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues.

It involves intense, focused pressure to release chronic tension. Deep tissue massage aims to break down adhesions (knots) and restore natural movement.
